Qatar Airways, the state airline of the country of Qatar, is one of the few airlines that still has a very generous regulation for golf baggage. While with other airlines the free baggage allowance is shrinking more and more, Qatar offers the possibility to count the golf baggage to the baggage allowance.
An example of golf baggage with Qatar
For example, if you have booked an economy class flight departing from Europe, you have 30 kilos of luggage at your disposal. For a flight in Business Class it is 40 kilos and in First Class even 50 kilos. This means that even in Economy Class, the volume takes off at a higher level than with other airlines. Now comes the special Qatar writes: “For routes where the weight concept applies, there is no limit on the number of pieces that can be checked in, as long as the total weight for the total number of pieces is not exceeded. This means that you can pack a 20 kilo suitcase and take a golf equipment that does not weigh more than ten kilos, and all this without any further costs.
If the amount is not enough, you can add excess luggage, the exact fees depend on the route and can be found here.
