Ecco Golf has introduced the new model “Golf Street 10”. The ten in the name refers to the 10th anniversary of hybrid golf shoes – shoes that can be worn on and off the course. This trend started with the “Golf Street” shoe, which was worn by Fred Couples at “The Masters” in 2010.
And now Ecco is going one step further in a certain way. The “Golf Street 10” is based on the currently very hip design of white sneakers. The shoe is basically still based on the hybrid outsole design which was used in the first models and which has proven itself.
The “Golf Street” was something like a game-changer in the history of the golf shoe industry. Because it did away with the idea that a golf shoe is only made for the course – a thought that other brands subsequently followed.
The “Golf Street 10” remains true to the original design and features some subtle but classic details of elegance and casualness.
Among the new features are:
- The introduction of a new midsole material with unparalleled softness, increased shock absorption and rebound, taking the dynamic comfort that has always been at the heart of Ecco’s design and technology to a new level.
- Details to mark the 10th anniversary, including a bronze detail on the laces, a ‘HYBRID 10’ logo in bronze screen printing on the heel and a commemorative shoe box and key ring.
- The upper leather, which is produced in our own tanneries, is made of Nappa leather, a dyed, full-grain Nappa leather with aniline finish and a plush, silky feel.
By treating the upper leather with Ecco’s proprietary Hydromax, the leather remains strong and durable, keeping feet dry and comfortable while allowing them to breathe. - A micro-perforated leather lining promotes sophisticated aesthetics, while leather-lined insoles offer unique moisture management properties and improved performance through long-term cushioning and maximum comfort.
The “Golf Street 10” is manufactured in the company’s own factories to bond the upper and outsole together to create a one-piece shoe without adhesives or stitching. This gives Ecco flexibility and durability.
Ecco golf shoes are worn by Henrik Stenson, Thomas Bjørn, Fred Couples, Erik van Rooyen, Doc Redman, Lydia Ko, Minjee Lee and Caroline Masson, among others.
