A smoke always announces the darling of the public from afar: The South Spaniard is the rake among the top golfers. A red-blond plait, a strikingly casual gait and a pronounced predilection for exquisite cigars – naturally also during the round. On the other hand, he does not think much of weight training. He has always preferred a good glass of red wine to a visit to the gym. Jiménez doesn’t rely on muscles, but on his feeling – and has been riding excellently for decades. He has won 18 tournaments on the European Tour, including the BMW International Open 2004, where, spontaneous as he is, he sometimes mingles with the spectators in the exhibition area.
